Recharge
When you are talking away to friends and enjoying savings on long-distance calls, the last thing you want to do is run out of credit. With SelectTel, we automatically advise you when funds are getting low and allow you to top up your account via your credit card. All systems are Go!

SpaceMail – your travelling voice mailbox
Each SelectTel Account has a voice mailbox attached. Tell your friends your Account number (but not your PIN) and by dialling the SelectTel access number, they can leave messages for you in your mailbox. When you use SelectTel you’ll be notified of messages received. You can call-forward calls from other landlines and mobiles so that you have a single mailbox for all your voicemail. Usage charges apply. You have mail!


Speed-Dial
To make it easier to use SelectTel Pre-Pay, you can use the Speed Dial function on your cellphone or desk phone (if available). Simply follow the instructions:

enter your Account number, followed by a comma

enter your PIN

enter into Speed Dial memory

Note: some mobile phones may use characters other than a comma, to signify a ‘pause’

Toll-bar and still make calls
You can have your phone line toll-barred, but still access SelectTel to make your toll calls. Just have your current supplier invoke toll-barring on your line – and then when you want to make toll calls or land-to-mobile calls, just dial the SelectTel number and make the call on you Pre-Pay account. If there are a number of people wanting to use the same phone, they can each have their own Pre-Pay Account.

Pay-Later
SelectTel offers long-distance calling (‘toll calls’) and land-to-cellular calling. Wherever you call, SelectTel will have a call-plan for you. SelectTel gives you the power of selection: you can have all your long-distance calls made automatically with SelectTel (that’s our ‘SelectTel Simple’ service). Alternatively, you can use SelectTel most of the time, but still take advantage of other telecommunication company ’specials’ when you want to (we call this service ‘SelectTel Select’). That’s great value and flexibility for you.

At the end of each billing period, you will be invoiced by email for the calls made. Payment is by direct debit arrangements with your bank.

Call Detail Records
Your call details are emailed to you with your invoice for each billing period. Call details are presented in Excel spreadsheet format for your analysis.

Invoicing & Payments
Invoices with call details are sent via email regularly and direct-debited 14 days after emailing of invoice. Pay-Later customers make payments to SelectTel via a direct-debit arrangement with their bank. For full details see our Terms and Conditions.

SelectTel Simple
The ‘SelectTel Simple’ service allows customers at homes and businesses to automatically have SelectTel as their preferred long-distance call provider. Just dial your calls as you normally would – no Account numbers or Passwords to enter. Very Simple!

SelectTel Select
SelectTel Select allows you to choose when to use SelectTel and when to use another service provider’s services. Just dial a pre-fix before the number you want to call, and the call will go via SelectTel. Very Select!

There are a number of options available for Pay-Later customers to assist in tailoring a call package that meets your calling profile. Call SelectTel for more details and let us customise a call rate program for you.

Pass-Code
This great little feature is available for Pay-Later customers and solves a number of issues where a number of people share a common phone. Each person is allocated a unique PassCode and when a long-distance call is made, the PassCode must be entered before placing the call. If no PassCode is entered the phone is ‘toll-barred’.

This feature allows students or family members to have their individual call charges recorded – no arguments when the bill arrives! PassCode is also for businesses: tag a PassCode to client accounts, so that when long-distance calls are made, call charges are allocated to the client for on-billing. Great value for accountants, lawyers and consultants.
